Praise Band
Contemporary and Alternative
If you play an instrument the Praise Band is for you! We have many opportunities for players of all levels. We are currently auditioning Guitarists, Bassists, Drummers, Keyboardists, and Orchestral Instrumentalists (strings, brass, woodwinds, etc). Don’t worry – the audition process is painless.
Vocalists
WORSHIP CHORUS
If you love to sing, the worship Chorus is for you. It’s all about coming together as a family to sing and worship. You will have the opportunity to learn basic musicianship skills - reading music is not a requirement. The Worship Chorus sings weekly in the 9:00am and 10:45am Contemporary Service. Rehearsals are held two weeks prior to the Sunday we sing. Music is available for preparation.
WORSHIP ENSEMBLE
Contemporary and Alternative
A select group that lead in our Sunday morning worship services each week. Some expectations include: memorizing songs, singing parts and being at rehearsal prior to leading worship on Sunday. Currently we have five vocal teams made of 2-4 members each who rotate throughout the month.
Vocalists who are interested in singing at Compass are given priority if they participate in our Compass Worship choir.
TRADITIONAL CHOIR
Traditional Choir sings at the Padre Traditional Service. It is lead by Jon-Mark Hurley and sing all types of music, from classical to contemporary, gospel to jazz. This is a great place to come and learn from a professional and grow as a vocalist.
