CHILDREN
Welcome to Compass Kids!
We’re so glad you’re here!
At Compass Kids, we believe every child is known, loved, and created by God for a purpose. Our desire is to create a safe, fun, and welcoming place where children can discover who Jesus is, experience His love, and grow in a faith that becomes their own.
Whether your family is visiting for the first time or Compass is already home, we consider it a privilege to partner with you in the spiritual formation of your child.

Child Dedication at Compass Church

What is Child Dedication?
Child Dedication is a special moment where parents make a public commitment to raise their child in a Christ-centered home and lead them toward a personal relationship with Jesus.
Is Child Dedication the same as baptism?
No, dedication is not baptism and does not ensure salvation. Instead, it is a declaration of your desire to raise your child according to God’s Word.
What am I committing to as a parent?
- Modeling a growing relationship with Christ.
- Teaching biblical truth in the home.
- Praying consistently for your child.
- Being actively involved in the life of the church.
How will Compass Church support our family?
Our church family makes a commitment to come alongside you to encourage, support, and pray for you as you lead your child spiritually. We actively partner with you through prayer, encouragement, and discipleship opportunities with Compass Kids.
When do dedications take place?
Child Dedication is typically offered during a weekend service. You will also attend a brief preparation class for parents before the actual dedication day.
How do I register or get more information?
We would be honored to celebrate this milestone with you! To register for the next dedication or to ask any questions, please contact Diane Losea.
Child Baptism at Compass Church

What is baptism?
Baptism is a public declaration of a personal decision to follow Jesus Christ. It is an outward expression of an inward transformation that has already taken place in your child’s heart.
When is a child ready to be baptized?
Children aged 10 and older may be baptized when they:
- Have made a personal decision to follow Jesus.
- Understand what salvation means.
- Can explain, in their own words, why they want to be baptized.
What is required before baptism?
Because baptism is a personal commitment, each child and at least one parent must meet with a ministry leader before the service. This ensures your child fully comprehends the meaning and significance of this important step.
What happens at the Parent & Child meeting?
- Listen to your child share their understanding of the Gospel.
- Ensure the decision to be baptized is personal and thoughtful.
- Answer any questions your family has about faith and salvation.
- Discuss how to partner together for your child’s ongoing spiritual growth.
How does Compass Church partner with our family?
We believe parents are the primary spiritual leaders in a child’s life. Baptism is just the beginning of a lifelong journey of discipleship, and we are honored to come alongside your family as you guide your child in a growing relationship with Christ.
How do I register or get more information?
To register for the next baptism or if you have any questions, please contact Diane Losea.
