The Certificate in Lay Ministry

Program Objectives:


To prepare lay leaders for leadership roles within their local church and broader Christian community.


To equip laypeople with a foundational understanding of the Christian faith, including knowledge of the Bible, church history, and Christian theology.


To provide practical training in key areas of ministry, such as evangelism, discipleship, and pastoral care.


To develop the skills needed to effectively communicate the gospel message and serve more effectively in various ministry settings.


To cultivate spiritual growth and character formation through personal reflection, prayer, and discipleship.


To foster a sense of community and accountability among lay leaders, and encourage collaboration and partnership in ministry.


To encourage lifelong learning and ongoing growth in knowledge, skills, and character.


Certificate in Theology and Ministry

Program Objectives:

To provide a strong foundation in Christian theology and biblical studies, including knowledge of the Bible, church history, and Christian doctrine.


To meet educational requirements for ordination/licensure in their church/denomination.


To equip students with the skills needed to effectively interpret and apply biblical teachings in various ministry contexts.


To develop critical thinking and analytical skills for engaging with theological issues and debates.


To prepare women and men for seminary education at the Masters level of study.


To cultivate spiritual growth and character formation through personal reflection, prayer, and discipleship.


To prepare students for leadership roles in various ministry contexts, including pastoral ministry, counseling, and teaching.
