Volunteering At Dorothy's Kitchen
Dorothy’s Kitchen is a full-service, commercial kitchen serving delicious meals to the homeless of Salinas.
Compass Church has been financially supporting Dorothy’s Kitchen for many, many years. We also send a group of volunteers to make and distribute sack lunches to the homeless of Salinas every 4th Sunday of the month from 10am – 2pm.
Please help us be the “church outside the walls” by volunteering for one of these opportunities! Duties include making sandwiches, assembling, and distributing the lunches, and clean-up.
For any questions, please contact Tom Hussar (Missions Elder) 970-4196, Ron Bunch (Mission Commission) 809-0916 or Barbara Conley (Coordinator) 206-9417
The nine churches planted in 2019 are established and growing.
The church planted in a Muslim village with 45 believers now has 170 and is building a brick structure for services. These successes are because of prayer, finances, and work. For 2020 we are planning to send two teams: Team One from
June 14 - June 26 and Team Two from
June 28 - July 10. If you are interested in Planting Churches, doing Medical Outreaches, or supporting Mission work in any way, stop at the Mission table in the lobby or email
missions@compasschurchmc.org.
