Compass Ministry

to the Military

Are you active-duty or a veteran?

We aim to support you and your family with fellowship, LifeGroups, prayer, and encouragement. Our vision is to be a church that honors, embraces, disciples, and walks alongside those whom have served and are currently serving our nation in uniform.

Compass Church is uniquely positioned in Salinas, an area home to thousands of service members, veterans, and military families. Our vision is simple yet profound: Anchored in Christ, Serving Those Who Serve. This ministry will create a spiritual home for those who serve our nation and often feel disconnected from the church.

Purpose

Compass Church Ministry to the Military is to be a Christ-centered spiritual home for military-connected individuals and families. We seek to provide a safe, welcoming, and spiritually enriching environment, where those who serve, and those who love them, can encounter God, grow in faith, and find community.

Why the Ministry?

Military life brings unique challenges: long separations, moral injury, PTSD, and frequent moves. Spouses often carry heavy emotional loads, and children struggle with transitions. Many feel spiritually isolated, disconnected from their faith, and in need of a supportive community. Our church can stand in that gap.

How This Benefits Compass Church

This ministry strengthens our outreach, expands our diversity, and deepens discipleship. It allows us to care for a significant segment of our community, enriching the life of our church. It positions Compass Church as a beacon of hope for those who protect our freedoms.
